• HELPING COMMUNITIES GROW AND FAMILIES FLOURISH

We support children, families and others living in the Lithgow & Blue Mountains areas

All our programs are free and voluntary. We do this by providing parenting and family programs, along with practical assistance.

Walking alongside children, families and communities, supporting them to THRIVE on their journey

Thrive Services is a not-for-profit community organisation that supports children, families & others living in the Lithgow and Blue Mountains areas. At THRIVE we believe in celebrating people’s achievements and strengths. We support families in times of change and transitions, helping when a new baby arrives, providing parenting and family support and practical assistance with bills and food.

CHILDREN

We provide a variety of children’s services and activities. We focus on providing services for children that enrich their wellbeing and provide positive outcomes through Playgroups, group activities, fun days and other activities.

FAMILY

We enhance family capacity and support parents through case management, family support & groups. We also provide housing and homelessness support for families in the Blue Mountains in partnership with Mission Australia.

COMMUNITY

We support our community through support and practical help. We connect our communities with information, referral and advice and provide emergency food cards, bill assistance and fresh food when available through our drop-in service (open Mon-Wed-Fri in Katoomba).

HOUSING

We provide Housing support under the Specialist Homelessness Support Service (SHS) program. We support families and children living in the Blue Mountains, who are at risk of homelessness or are currently homeless. Our focus is to prevent families from entering homelessness through early intervention.

THE ULURU STATEMENT FROM THE HEART

IDAHOBIT

31 years ago - on May 17, 1990 - the World Health Organization removed homosexuality from the Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems. International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia & Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) celebrates LGBTQIA+ people globally, and raises awareness for the work still needed to combat discrimination.
